A Most Quacked Up Imagination!

Ever since I heard from resident artist Kevin Harris about five dollar Wednesdays and Saturdays at the Dayton Printmaking Coop, I have been super duper excited! It’s an amazing opportunity to use the facility and their materials for so low a price. It’s a great steal to take advantage of! Plus, it is an hour’s walk away. Yes! Woo hoo! Now for weeks, I kept wondering what would I make? What kinds of drawings are worth printing? Holiday cards are definitely on the way, but I wanted to make other artworks too. As most of my friends know, I’ve been secretly plotting to squeeze my way into the fashion industry. A few blog posts ago, I shared whimsical fashion dreams- rubber ducky style! Etsy, eBay, Google, JoAnn’s, thrift shops were the places I searched for rubber ducky centric fabrics. Weeks ago, I found this amazing number for only $1 at the Village! Yes, $1. And it was originally $2! Talk about dated and vintage. Tote bag? Skirt? A vest? Who knows what I’ll be making out of it? There’s ...

Halloween Fun Part 1

Who the heck were we supposed to be? Very, very cool.... It was the very first time for all three of us- Rob, his friend, Toya, and I to ever attend Oregon District's "Hauntfest" formerly called "Boo and Brew." No beer for us- we settled with $1 hot chocolates watching the heavily intoxicated, very drunken public displays of attention. Aren't they cute? Bet they light each other up, eh? (Corny joke I know....) Creativity at its finest! Look at all of them buttons. How many of them do you suppose were from beer bottles? 1, 2, 3...... My hero! He certainly had bo...

Wizard World Madness

It's always such a blast seeing various people decked out in fabulous superhero/villain costumes. I try taking as many pics as possible posing with them or getting solo shots of creativity at work. Sure they say that comic books are just for the nerds, but rest assure every one of every creed and station gets a kick out of letting their inner child come out. Dressing up isn't just for Halloween anymore! The Costumes I have no idea what this person was supposed to be (they didn't either!), if they were male or female (they refused to speak!) but giraffes rule & should be in the comic books fighting crime (giant evil Panda Bears?), I suppose! Rogue & I are the untouchable, unstoppable kind of women! I commend her costume, I really do. Much, much better than that atrocity X-Men put together for Anna Paquin. A babe amongst babes, hahaha! Though I could use work. Wonder Woman & unidentified black leotard chick were definitely sweet crime fighters & I was greatly ...
