Wizard World Madness

It's always such a blast seeing various people decked out in fabulous superhero/villain costumes. I try taking as many pics as possible posing with them or getting solo shots of creativity at work. Sure they say that comic books are just for the nerds, but rest assure every one of every creed and station gets a kick out of letting their inner child come out. Dressing up isn't just for Halloween anymore! The Costumes I have no idea what this person was supposed to be (they didn't either!), if they were male or female (they refused to speak!) but giraffes rule & should be in the comic books fighting crime (giant evil Panda Bears?), I suppose! Rogue & I are the untouchable, unstoppable kind of women! I commend her costume, I really do. Much, much better than that atrocity X-Men put together for Anna Paquin. A babe amongst babes, hahaha! Though I could use work. Wonder Woman & unidentified black leotard chick were definitely sweet crime fighters & I was greatly ...

The Great James Scott

The drive to Niles, Ohio was four hours and twenty minutes. But after that- confusion central. On the website of the Scrappers Little League Game it said to go to the Subway on 5555 Eastwood Rd which turned out to be a mall. We went to the Subway there and they instructed us to go to the Subway up the street. At that location, they claimed to have given away all of their free tickets, but when I mentioned that I paid for mine already in advance, they told me about the Will Call at the stadium which was addressed at 111 Eastwood Rd. not a place I saw on the actual site. Thankfully, it wasn't far from the mall. We arrived at the stadium thirty minutes later, found the Will Call (yes, it was a Subway Will Call too, omg!), and stood in a very, very long line. But I guess this pic was worth it! I loved seeing James's awesomeness! He was sweet, a little tired, and rushy, but I still love him very much. I mean, what lady wouldn't??? Days is lucky to have acquired such a ki...

The Artsy Fartsy Adventures of Online Shopping

First off, the upcoming weekend is very, very exciting for I will be writing about the upcoming James Scott Minor League Baseball game on Saturday evening and the fantastic, fun filled enjoyment of Wizard World Chicago on Sunday. Woot! Woot! Now on with the show! For the past few weeks, I've been digging one of a kind items, especially uniquely crafted wearable art that relate to me as an individual, as a creative, free-spirited young woman. It was imperative to find things that speak that language. Some of which I saw on etsy, rarely eBay, and now I've been looking into shops a lot more independent. One purchase I loved was made last Friday, a beautiful bag from an incredibly chic indie store, called Vau Store which features sweet tote bags featuring modest, minimalistic, metaphoric (say that three times fast, I dare you!) designs. I was very lucky for it was sold out a week prior, but the store tweeted me a heads up once it was stocked (and on sale nonetheless!) Drawn by t...

Tien and I am gearing up for Wizard World this weekend. I must say that I am so excited about the line-up. There's famed artists like Mark Millar who is creator of the hit comic, Image's Kick Ass and also writes for Marvel's Fantastic Four , . Celebs that are showing up are Michelle Rodriguez, the girl that kicks butt in the Fast and the Furious , Gary Coleman (I am at a loss of words right now), Lou Ferringo (the original Incredible Hulk ), Margot Kidder ("Lois Lane" with Christopher Reeves as "Clark Kent" in the classic Superman movies), Todd Bridges, Billy Dee Williams, Doug Jones (that scary one eyed Cyclops in Pan's Labyrinth that gave me the heebie jeebies), and a host of other names. I must say that I am very, very excited for this year. But being a big Buffy, the Vampire Slayer fan and an avid collector of all things Slayer, I am so happy to see that Emma Caulfield will be gracing Chicago with her presence. I don't know what she's ...
